Definitions and Core Values

A state of physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The state of being happy, healthy, or prosperous. Adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.

Community responsibilities are an individual's duties or obligations to the community and include cooperation, respect and participation. The concept goes beyond thinking and acting as individuals to common beliefs about shared interests and life.

 

Social responsibility is the responsibility of every individual for his/her actions. It is morally binding on everyone to act in such a way that the people immediately around them are not adversely affected.

MARTiAL YOU has several core values that are integrated into the very fabric of its existence.

The quality or condition of being humble.

Be modest and not arrogant even in victory.

Excellence of manners or social conduct; polite behavior.

The root of courtesy is to respect and treat others as you would have them treat you.

Adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.

Do the right thing whether someone sees you or not. Stick to what is right under all circumstances

A life's essence that cannot be subdued or overcome, as persons, will, or courage; unconquerable.

Strive to succeed no matter what.

Control or restraint of oneself or one's actions, feelings.

Keep yourself in check and control your actions.

Steady persistence in a course of action, especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.

Never give up. NEVER!

Along with these ideals MARTiAL YOU remains committed in the efforts of making the benefits of martial arts accessible to the broadest range of individuals as possible, regardless of economic standing. We strive to promote the martial arts to all who are willing to learn and uphold the basic core values which are its foundation.
